Club Rules and Policies

Types of Cars

SydneyStyle accepts cars of American origin only. American cars include all GM models from all years and selected Fords. Fords may be 60’s Galaxies and Thunderbirds and all years of Lincolns. Two door or convertible cars are preferred, though other models are accepted. Australian origin cars may be accepted in the future under special circumstances.

Tires and Wheels

Cars may run standard hubcaps specific to the model and year of car; Supreme’s or wire wheels of 13 or 14 inch. Larger wires are accepted on an approval basis only. Tires are to be white walls.

Suspension

Cars must have a form of modified suspension. Hydraulic suspension is strongly preferred though airbags are accepted on an individual approval basis only. Members must have the intent to modify their suspension in the above mentioned ways, within a specified time frame which will be decided upon when joining the club. Cars pending modified suspension must be lowered.

Condition of Cars

Cars should be up to the highest standard of presentation to the limits of the individual owner. When cars fly the club plaque they should be clean and presentable.

Attitude of Members

Members are on show when flying the plaque and therefore are encouraged to portray a positive image for the club. The club is based on friendship and family, and members should act accordingly.

Plaques

Plaques should be exhibited on the vehicle at all shows and cruises when participating as a club. They should be clearly displayed either in the back window, side window or other agreed locations. Only full members may fly the club plaque.

Levels of Members

New members

New members are to have an evaluation period of no less than 1 month and attend no less than 2 club functions before they can be voted in as a probationary member.

Probationary Members

This position is held until the car and member have the right criteria needed to be a full member. A probationary member may fly a club sticker on their car in the designated position. Probationary members must have the intent to become a full member of the club. Full members are to evaluate the probationary member to asses their right to become a full member.

Full Member

To become a full member, members must have hydraulic suspension or airbags on approval, wire wheels or Supremes and white walls. Their cars must be of the highest standard, be show ready when flying the plaque as well as being true lowriders. They must also be active in club duties and contribute to the running of the club. They are also to enforce club policies and rules for new or probationary members. They are to be voted in by other, already full members.
